Follow these steps to check the test leads and TOS5300 functions:
- Short-circuit the LOW (black) and HIGH VOLTAGE (red) test leads.
- Connect the black lead to the LOW VOLTAGE terminal and the red lead to the HIGH VOLTAGE terminal.
- Set the test conditions:
• For a withstanding voltage test: set the upper limit (UPPER).
• For an insulation resistance test: set the lower limit (LOWER). - Press START to start the test.
- Review the results:
• For a withstanding voltage test: U-FAIL indicates normal operation
• For an insulation resistance test: L-FAIL indicates normal operation
If you get unexpected results, there may be a disconnected test lead or a malfunction of your TOS5300 unit.
