Yes, the output can be controlled by external resistor(s), but this control is achieved using voltage control.
It cannot be controlled simply by connecting resistor(s).
To control the output, please follow these steps:
1) Use external resistor(s) to divide the reference voltage on pin 3 of the J1 connector.
2) Add the divided voltage to pin 1 of the J1 connector to control the output voltage.
3) Alternatively, add it to pin 11 of the J1 connector to control the output current.
This control is achieved by changing the voltage-divider ratio of the reference voltage with external resistor(s).
