You need to set the PAV series address such as:
INST:NSEL 6 (e.g. When the PAV series address is set to 6.)
You set this address from the PAV panel. The factory default is 6.
How to set the address in PAV:
a) Press REM.
The ammeter shows “Adr”.
b) Press the CURRENT knob.
The ammeter shows the address.
c) Turn the CURRENT knob to choose the address.
d) Press the CURRENT knob.
The address setting is complete when the display blinks and returns to the original screen.
You need to also set the port on the PC as follows:
Baudrate: 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
How to set the baudrate in PAV:
a) Press REM.
b) Turn the VOLTAGE knob until the voltmeter shows “bAud”.
c) Press the VOLTAGE knob.
d) Turn the CURRENT knob to choose the baudrate.
e) Press the CURRENT knob.
The baudrate setting is complete when the display blinks and returns to the original screen.
