For PCR-LE series with the firmware version 4.50 or earlier, when the output is turned off, the output voltage drops to 0 V for approx. 200 μs, after which the output goes into a high-impedance state.
If a capacitive load is connected, current flows from the capacitor to PCR-LE series during this 200 μs period. The larger the capacitance, the higher the current flow into PCR-LE series. If the overcurrent threshold is exceeded, the internal semiconductor protection (OCP) will be activated, and the output may be turned off.
To resolve this issue, update the firmware to version 4.50 or later and turn off the surge suppression function to prevent this behavior from occurring. The firmware can be downloaded from our website, and a USB memory is required for the update.
